Handcrafted sculpture on Lecce stone, designed and created by artist Andrea Serra. The sculpture “The Player of Hearts” represents the emotions and passions that are common to all people regardless of their social or personal cultural differences.
The work is entirely done by hand on this stone which is found only in a very few areas of southern Italy, namely in lower Salento in the province of Lecce. This particular stone of marine origin, rich in plant and animal fossils dating back several million years, makes it suitable for processing details.
“The Player of Hearts”, like every work by Andrea Serra, being hand-carved, is unique and signed in engraving by the artist.
