Handmade sculpture on Lecce stone, designed and created by the artist Andrea Serra. The “Mon amour” sculpture represents the beauty of fused bodies resting on the strength of love, that stability that supports them like enveloping and secure roots.
The processing of this work is entirely done by hand on this stone which is found only in very few areas of southern Italy, or in the lower Salento in the province of Lecce. This particular stone of marine origin, rich in vegetable and animal fossils dating back to around twenty million years ago (such as shells, marine plants and shark teeth), makes it suitable for working on details. The fossils present are visible on the surfaces of the work and make it even more unique and fascinating.
The “Mon amour” sculpture, like every work by Andrea Serra, being sculpted by hand, is unique and signed in engraving by the artist.
