And it is by sculpting a stone rich in marine fossils that the artist wanted to make this work even more unique.
Illuminated by an LED strip of warm white light present inside (modifiable color tone on request).
The processing of this work is entirely carried out by hand on this stone which is found only in very few areas of southern Italy, or in the lower Salento in the province of Lecce. This particular stone of marine origin, rich in plant and animal fossils dating back to several million years ago, makes it suitable for processing details.
The illuminating sculpture Grande onda, like every work by Andrea Serra, being hand-sculpted, is unique and signed in etching by the artist.
