Hand-crafted sculpture on Lecce stone, designed and created by the artist Andrea Serra. The artist wanted to call this work “Courtship”, a courtship of nature: the vital beauty of every being creates a play of shapes as if it were a dance, the softness of the shapes gives a sense of freedom, a desire to express without restraint the own instincts.
The processing of this work is entirely done by hand on this stone which is found only in very few areas of southern Italy, namely in the lower Salento in the province of Lecce. This particular stone of marine origin, rich in plant and animal fossils dating back several million years, makes it suitable for detail processing.
The sculpture “Courtship” like every work by Andrea Serra, being sculpted by hand, is unique and signed in engraving by the artist.
